We don't know the circumstances that brought you to our profile, but we do know that the exploration of what's best for your baby is such an amazing and beautiful display of love. We want to start by telling you that we have been praying for you to have peace and comfort in whatever decision you make, much like we have peace and comfort in our decision to adopt.
We have been together as a couple for 12 years and married for almost 8. We met through mutual friends and were immediately drawn to each other's sense of humor and how we balance each other out- Jimmy makes Beth more adventurous and brave and Beth brings out the best of Jimmy's kindness and generosity. We always talked about adoption being a possibility and after several miscarriages, we have realized that adoption is God's plan for us. We now eagerly look forward to the day that we can bring a baby home and provide the birthmother with assurance that her child will be unconditionally loved and cared for.
We live in Georgia where Jimmy is an engineer and Beth is a lawyer. Both of our employers know we are adopting and have been incredibly supportive in this journey. While we both enjoy our careers, we value family, faith, and friends over our professional lives. Our losses helped us learn how to best prioritize what matters most in life, and we find great joy spending time together and with our friends. We feel confident that we have that balance that will enable us to be dedicated and loving parents.
We are members of a local church that encourages its members to have a heart for adoption. We also attend a small group with other couples from our church each week. Since neither of our families live in the area, this small group has become our local family who love us well. Our family and friends are thrilled about our decision to adopt and can't wait to welcome our child into our community.
What we want to tell you in is that we will provide a loving and nurturing home to the baby we adopt, loving them as our own while honoring their birthmother and her decision. We want our child to know their story and hope to maintain some form of contact with the birthmother throughout the years, if that is what she desires. No matter your decision for your child and whether you decide to meet us or not, we want you to know that we are praying for you and your baby.
