Domestic Adoption

Dear Birthparent,

We are honored to meet you, even if it's just on this website for now. From experience, we know you are in the midst of some of the toughest days and hardest decisions of your life. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

We started dating in college and married after graduation. We had struggled with not being able to have biological children for years and decided to pursue adoption. We were blessed in 2015 with the birth of Will, our son who joined our family through adoption. He's four now and every day with him is a miracle, but we've also always known there was another spot in our family where a little brother or sister should be. Will loves his baby cousins and is so gentle around them. He is so excited about the possibility of becoming a big brother.

Through the years, we've done a lot of traveling for work and recreation (something we love to do as a family now). We live near a beautiful lake surrounded by hills and mountains. Our small neighborhood is very quiet and safe. Our house has a fenced back yard and we're in one of the best school districts in the region. We have a sweet dog named Jessie who loves kids and is Will's buddy.

We both come from larger families and even though our families live in different states, we are very close and talk and visit often, especially on holidays and special occasions.

There's lots of young kids in our families who love playing together!

James is self-employed, managing an Internet marketing company and Tara works from home as a website and social media manager. Our work gives us a lot of flexibility to take care of kids. James paints and does photography. Tara scrapbooks and loves interior decorating and reading books. We attend the local Catholic church and are active there; our Christian faith is an important part our personal lives, and it's something we hope to pass on to our children.

Adoption is already the story of our family, and we are honored to tell our children from the beginning about the brave and selfless roles their birth parents played in their stories.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. Wishing you peace and blessings,

James and Tara
