Dear Expectant Mother,

We are Hunter and Lauran! We can’t imagine the difficult decisions that have led you to possibly choosing adoption, nor can we begin to understand your feelings during this process, but what we do know is that we are so thankful for your selfless love, courage, and strength for choosing life for your baby. We admire you for that. We may have not met yet, but we already have so much respect for you. We want you to know that we are praying for you and asking God for His wisdom, peace, andprotection over you.

Hunter and I are high school sweethearts and have been married for almost 5 years. Although we don’t have children of our own yet, we do have 2 small rescue dogs whom we adore! We both come from big, close families so having children has always been a desire close to our hearts. However, we were faced with fertility struggles and knew that in God’s timing our prayers to start a family would be answered, and they were! He led us to adoption and here we are! While our path to get here hasn’t always been easy, we have remained faithful in God’s plan and are excited to one day be called adoptive parents. We know without a doubt we have been called into this role.

Hunter is very active and enjoys lots of outdoor activities; biking, skiing, baseball, taking care of our yard, grilling, and golfing. His favorite activity by far would be golfing! If he could choose a vacation it would be to the mountains any day! Hunter cares about his community and volunteers with several organizations around town. I enjoy running, walking our dogs, being crafty, and cooking. If I had to choose a vacation it would be to the beach! We both teach Sunday school in our church youth and are involved with weekly life groups held through our church. We have been very lucky to live close to our families. Hunter’s family lives in our small West Texas hometown and my family only lives about 30 minutes away. Both families are super supportive and have been praying over us and you through this adoption process. Hunter is an accountant for an oil and gas company, and I work PRN as an ultrasound tech.

Our promise to you is to always show unconditional love and support for you and your child. If chosen, we promise to raise your child in a loving home where he or she feels protected and celebrated. We promise to teach him or her about Christ and His grace and love for us. We promise to teach your child about the love you have for him or her and the sacrifices you have made. We promise to create an environment where your child feels comfortable asking questions about his or her background and heritage.
