Domestic Adoption

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to review our portfolio.   We cannot imagine how difficult and emotional this decision is for you and your baby.   Thank you for considering adoption and know that you are deeply loved and supported by us in your journey.   Adoption is one of the bravest and most selfless acts a mother can do.   We greatly admire you for this. David and I have known each other for 12 years and have been married for 8 years.   We do not have any children and have not experienced issues with infertility.   We knew we wanted to adopt well before we were married.   When we did get married our pastor spoke about our adoption plans during our wedding ceremony.   Rachel was actually adopted as a teenager and has been collecting childrens books since college.    We are both excited to become parents and will love the child unconditionally. We love traveling around the world, exploring new places, being outdoors, and spending quality time together.   David enjoys golfing and Rachel enjoys working out.   Over the weekends we can be found at the country club swimming, driving to visit family in Houston, and going to church on Sundays. Both David and I are blessed with wonderful families.   We rotate holidays between our immediate families and have yearly trips with both sides.  Our family members are incredibly excited for us and support our decision to adopt.   They cannot wait to meet the new baby and welcome them into their hearts and homes. Please know that we are praying for you and your baby.   We pray that you consider us and trust that GOD will help fill you with peace in your decision.   Thank you for the opportunity for David and I to become parents and nurture a relationship with you as the birth mother. With love and sincerity, David and Rachel We are represented by Nightlight Christian Adoptions. 1. August 2020 - January 2021: OUR NEW DREAM, FOREVER HOME
We went “live” for adoption in June 2020, and only two months later, we found a home for sale in the most magnificent neighborhood in Georgetown, TX. We quickly realized this was our opportunity to move into our forever family home, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

With a little over 1 acre; walking distance to river trails and an abundance of wildlife, there’s a wealth of outdoor activities and spiritual peace for future family.

We completed a full remodel and eventually moved in, January 2021!

  2. April 2021: It’s a Celebration!

On April 19, 2021 we celebrated PopPop’s 70th Birthday at a Lake House in Conroe, TX. PopPop is David’s father. David also has one brother, Brian, and one sister, Carrie. Above is a picture of the entire family coming together that weekend.

This was the first time in over a year where the entire family was able to be with each other and spend time as a family. While this is usually a normal occurrence for our family, COVID, effected our ability to meet as often in 2020. With signs of COVID improving, we are excited about spending more time with the family this year.

Pictured above, you will also see our 2 nieces and 1 nephew on David’s side of the family. Brian and Kristen are parents to Presleigh (13) and Beckham (6). Both are very active in sports, and they love to travel as a family just like us! The youngest of the bunch is Carrie and John’s first baby, Camryn, 2 years old. She is the smartest and most joyful little girl we know. All of them are very much involved in our lives and they are thrilled to welcome our new child to the family. Their excitement about the adoption is contagious!

  3. February 2021: New Member of the Family!

In January, we put Stewart down after nearly 13 years of great life on this earth. Stu survived 28 months after cancer radiation even though the doctors gave him only 12-18 months to live.

During this rough time, a new rescue story was presented named Roscoe, an 8 month Chocolate Lab. He was dropped on the side of the road in Florence, TX with 3 other puppies. One puppy didn’t make it and the other two were adopted as a pair.

Roscoe is our “Winter Storm Miracle,” as we adopted him on February 12th, in the heart of the worst winter storm in Texas. He is full of life and LOVES kids. We are excited to bring our first child into the family and see these two grow up together!
