Domestic Adoption

Dear Expectant Mother,

We are excited to have you read our letter! We would like to begin by expressing our admiration for the strength it takes on your behalf to consider adoption for your baby. Such a courageous and selfless decision and we would be honored to be considered as a family for your child!

In 2007, we learned that we were not able to have biological children. After much prayer, we decided that adoption was God's plan to grow our family. We now have one daughter named Riley Ann that came home from Russia in the fall of 2012. She is six years old and super fun! It has been such a blessing to watch her grow, learn, and thrive in our home. We can't believe that she has been with us for over four years now. Wow, time flies by!

We are thrilled to once again grow our family through adoption. Adoption has become part of our families' DNA. Both of us have cousins that have adopted children through domestic infant adoption. Naturally after watching these amazing stories of adoption, our families are the biggest cheerleaders of this way of growing a family. On our third trip to Russia to pick up Riley Ann, our parents were so excited to meet her that they went with us! We know that they will be equally as thrilled to meet our new addition.

We met at a church social event where a mutual friend introduced us. Our first date was on June 4, 2004 and we got married exactly one year later. We celebrated 11 years of marriage in June. In 2010, David received a promotion to Network Administrator in his company's Austin office. This new position provided the opportunity for Amy to become a stay at home mom. We then made our home in Buda, just south of Austin. We have two small Miniature Schnauzers named Sweetie and Hank. We like to travel, spend time with our huge family, watch sci-fi, serve together at church, and drink mocha frappuccinos. We look forward to travel with our children and hope to go to Disney World one day!

We are excited about our new child. Know that he/she will have plenty of love and support from our church community, family, and friends. We are so excited that with domestic adoption we will have the blessing of knowing and having a relationship with the birthmother of our child. Thank you for reading our letter.
