     We are Dave and Ashley, and we are so thankful you have taken the time to look at our profile.

     As you view our family, please know that we deeply respect the selfless love and bravery that you have shown in considering adoption.  It takes great strength to do what you are doing, and great love.  It amazes us beyond words that you might consider us as a family for your child, and we are praying for you as you make your decision.  We hope that in this process, we can get to know you and your story.  

     We met in 2009 in college when we were assigned a group project together.  Our relationship was challenged when Dave was deployed to Afghanistan.  We could only communicate through email and video chat, but we came out of that difficult time stronger.  We married in 2011.  Dave is now out of the military and is an ICU nurse.  Ashley is a high school teacher who spends summers at home with our kids.

     We have two biological children, Audrey and Bryce, who are excited about having a new sibling.  Audrey is 7 and Bryce is 4.  It is a blast to watch them grow and develop their own interests.  We love spending time together as a family. We enjoy exploring state parks, taking day trips to the zoo or an aquarium, and having movie nights on the couch with homemade popcorn.

     We are adopting because we have chosen adoption, not because it is our "plan B".  We feel called by God to adopt and are beyond excited to add another member to our family.  Our adoption process has been challenging, but we’ve refused to give up because we believe that another member of our family is out there somewhere. Adoption is already a part of our family, as we have a few family members who were adopted themselves.

     Our hope is to have an open adoption so that your child would know you and know you love him or her.  We would raise your child to appreciate the sacrifices you made for him or her.  Please know that if we were to adopt your child, your child would be a full member of our family, just as much as our two biological children. Your child would be loved deeply by so many people! In addition to two siblings who are beyond excited, your child would have grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who can't wait to love and spoil him or her!  We live close by both of our extended families and spend lots of time together.  We travel together, have big holiday gatherings, and host playdates for the kids.
