We want to thank you for taking the time to view our profile and learn more about who we are. And while we cannot imagine what this journey has been like for you, we recognize and admire your strength. We know that the decisions you are weighing are not easy, but we trust that you are choosing the best path for you and your baby. We are grateful to you for considering our family, and we hope to share with you about our lives and our journey.
We have known each other for most of our lives as our parents were friends who attended the same church. As our friendship deepened over the years, it eventually developed into a relationship. We started dating in college, and got married in 2008 after five years of dating.
We started married life in New York City, focusing on building our marriage and our careers. Tiffany worked as a Social Worker in a hospital and Darren was in medical school. After Darren finished his medical training, we decided that it was time to return to Los Angeles to be closer to our families. We have been blessed with two biological children, Jayden (4) and Ethan (2).
As a family, we love to travel and enjoy spending time outdoors. Weekends are often spent biking or hiking with our boys. Darren is an avid tennis player and enjoys quality time playing with his dad. He enjoys music and plays the piano and bass guitar, and also plays for our church worship team. Tiffany loves to read and go for runs. She enjoys making crafts, cooking and baking with the boys, and teaching them Chinese. During the winter, we travel with our families to a shared vacation home in Mammoth, CA and spend time skiing and snowboarding.
We have been blessed with an incredible support system of extended family and friends. They have been one of our greatest assets as we’ve nurtured a deep desire to grow our family once again. Both our children are excited to be big brothers to an adopted sibling. Our families are extremely involved in our children’s lives and have been very supportive in our journey towards adoption. We also have close friends who have adopted children, and friends who foster children as well. God has blessed us with the means and desire to open our home and our hearts to welcome a new child to our family.
