We are Craig and Angela! We went on our first date in 2006 thanks to a couple of our friends. We got married two years later. We've been married for over 11 years now!
Several years into our marriage, Angela was told she would likely never conceive naturally. After several attempts at pregnancy with medications and a heartbreaking miscarriage, we decided that God was clearly leading us to adopt in order to fulfill our dream of becoming parents.
In 2016, we adopted our son, Ezra! We were able to meet Ezra's birthmother about a month before he was born. We got to know each other over lunch at her favorite Chinese restaurant. There are not words to express how grateful we are for adoption! We are absolutely humbled by Ezra's birthmother's selfless love for her son. Since infancy, he has been told of her great love for him.
Over the past few years, we have enjoyed the ongoing texts, messages, pictures, and visits with Ezra's birthmother. While we are open to many forms of communication with you, we will respect your privacy should you not desire ongoing contact. We are very flexible in this area and want to do what is most comforting to you and your child.
Our favorite thing to do as a family is to spend time at our family camp at the lake. We like to swim to the float, build sand castles in the huge sand box, and eat s'mores around the campfire. Ezra (and our dogs!) love kayak rides and we'll sometimes take the boat to the beach across the lake. Its so much fun! What a joy it will be to watch two kiddos running and playing at camp!
Many of our extended family live close to us and we see them often. We celebrate holidays and birthdays surrounded by family and friends while enjoying lots of yummy food. Our family and friends are overwhelming supportive of desire to adopt again and look forward to welcoming another little one into our family.
We want to take a moment to thank you: to thank you for taking the time to read our letter to you; to thank you for considering adoption; and to thank you for considering us. We think very highly of you. The challenges that lay ahead of you may be great. Know the decisions you face are yours to make. In your heart, you will know what is best for you and your baby, and your decision, whatever it may be, is founded in a mother's love, one of the strongest, fiercest types of love we have ever encountered. Know that we think of you often and pray that you will find great peace and contentment with whatever you choose.
