Dear Expectant Parents:
Thank you for taking the time to read our profile and get to know our family a little better. We are a family of five from Colorado that has been brought together by adoption. We understand that this is most likely a difficult time for you filled with many questions and emotions. We want you to know that we respect and admire you for choosing life for your baby and we pray that you will be filled with peace and comfort in your hearts.
When we (Jonathon and Cody) met over 20 years ago in college we had no idea that God had an amazing plan for how we would become parents and form our family. It has had ups and downs, sadness and disappointment along the way, but we cannot imagine our lives any other way. It has been because of the loss of infertility that God has brought us His great blessings through the avenue of adoption. It is hard to express to you the love we have for our children and the gratefulness we have in our hearts for how our family has been formed. We love how wonderfully unique our children all are and how they each have their own special stories. We love the racial diversity in our home, and our lives are better because of who they each are.
As a family we love to spend time together going to the park, playing with our dog, going on walks or hikes, riding bikes, swimming, playing games, reading books, watching movies, eating ice cream, cooking together, playing music, playing baseball, and spending time with friends and cousins. One of our favorite things to do is to go camping in the mountains of Colorado. We love the time together in our camper playing games, talking, and laughing. We love to see the beauty around us and spend time hiking, biking, and taking pictures in our beautiful surroundings. We have also loved camping near the beach in California and Yosemite National Park. We have made special memories on family trips to Florida, California, Arizona and Hawaii.
We all are ready to open up our hearts and home to another child. Our kids are so excited to love and care for a little brother or sister, and as parents we look forward to the privilege of being entrusted with the gift of another little life. As we raise our kids, we are certain that adoption is God’s perfect plan for our lives. Few things in our life compare to the joy and importance of being parents and caring for the children that God has given us. We are excited to see His plan unfold for adding another child to our lives to love and care for! We are praying for you as you seek to make a plan for your own life, and pray that God would care for you and your baby in a special way.
"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:10
With love and prayers, Jonathon and Cody and kids
