Dear Expectant Parents,
Hello and welcome to our family: Chris, Kathy, Addie and Caleb. We are excited to have the opportunity to share our lives with you and are very excited about adoption and growing our family. We realize that there are numerous decisions that you are making and we want you to know that we have been praying for you and your baby. We recognize the magnitude of this choice.
Our story started while we were working at a Christian camp for a summer. After camp ended we started dating and found that we have similar interests, hopes and dreams. We were married a year later and have been married for 15 years.
While dating we discussed our vision of what our family would be. We both wanted children. We struggled with infertility and tried for 6 years to have a baby. After numerous tests and ultrasounds we decided to look into adoption. It was then we became pregnant with our daughter. We went through similar issues including further testing and again looking into adoption before having our son. Both pregnancies had been somewhat complicated. We feel that God has placed the desire for an additional child and are excited to see His plan unfold through adoption.
A little more about our background, Chris received his degree in History. Kathy graduated with biology and Physician Assistant degrees. We are presently working at the same Christian camp where we met. Chris is the Assistant Director and Kathy is the Medical Director. Both of us continue to be active in our local church including helping out with Wednesday afternoon church, children’s church, worship and even preaching the Sunday Sermon.
We are so excited to complete our family through adoption. God is the most important aspect of our family and we are excited to see His plan unfold. We plan to be open and honest about adoption. Our children are as excited as us about adoption. We are eager to share with our children the beautiful story of adoption and the unconditional love shown by both families. We are humbled by this opportunity and are excited to share our lives. We pray that God will direct you in the difficult decisions and grant you peace.
