Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves and tell you about our family.
My husband Andrew and I live in Casper, Wyoming. Andrew and I have been married for seven years. We are both teachers; Andrew teaches elementary P.E. and I teach high school social studies. We enjoy being active, especially in the summers, playing softball, volleyball, and golf. We love camping, fishing, being in the mountains, going on family walks with our black lab, Peyton, and just making memories as a family. We are very close with our family and spend a great deal of time with both sides.
Our decision to adopt came over the course of a three-year journey. After being unable to get pregnant the first few years of our marriage, we sought out medical answers. A few tearful doctors appointments later, doctors confirmed what we'd suspected: we were not able to have biological children. At age four, Andrew was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Though Andrew is healthy today, a side effect of the intensive chemotherapy is the inability to have children. Through the grief of our infertility journey, we felt a peace settle over us because we knew God was calling us toward adoption, something we had discussed early in our relationship.
In May of 2021, we adopted our son Noah. He is such a happy, goofy little boy who reminds us daily of God's goodness and faithfulness. Our journey to parenthood began as roller coaster, but we've seen firsthand how God can use tough circumstances to bestow the biggest blessings. Adoption has been the biggest blessing of our lives and we are so excited to continue to grow our family through adoption.
We recognize the choice you are making is one of the most difficult choices a woman can face in her lifetime. Entrusting your child to be raised by someone else requires incredible bravery, strength, honesty, and most of all, love for your child. We feel extremely honored to be considered as adoptive parents for your child. We know whatever decision you make will be made in love. May you be blessed, whatever you decide.
