Dear Expectant Mother,

We cannot imagine the strength and courage it takes to choose adoption for your child and have tremendous respect for the choice you are considering. We acknowledge your sacrifice and feel honored that you would consider us in your decision.  We are Alex and Nichole and are hoping to continue building our family through adoption. We have been a couple for over ten years and married since 2013. Adoption has always been a part of our family plan. Even before we were engaged, we knew our family would consist of children who are adopted. The idea of adoption is natural to us and a part of our family structure. Both of Alex's parents are retired social workers, along with his mother and sister having been adopted themselves.

God imagined our family through the gift of adoption, and we hope to build a life with you. God helped pave the way after we experienced the heartbreak of recurrent miscarriages over the years. Our daughter came to us through an open adoption, which has been the most beautiful experience of our lives. We are grateful to her courageous, loving, resilient birth mother for not only choosing us but generously inviting us into her life to become more than family. We are so excited to grow our family and thank you for potentially being a part of this experience. If you were to choose us to parent your child, we promise to love them unconditionally and they will grow up knowing that their mother committed the ultimate selfless act because she loved them so much.

Nichole’s late grandmother taught us how to live a fulfilled life. She lived each day spreading love to everyone around her. She taught us to never judge, belittle, or condemn and to always speak positively of others. This is what we hope to pass on to our children. We promise to share our hearts, love, and passion with your child. We will love your child unconditionally. We will be there to pick them up on bad days by showing them care and compassion. We promise to encourage them to follow their dreams and to teach them to find joy in the simple things in life. We promise that your child will know how much you love them and how difficult of a decision you had. We will always speak about you with respect and admiration. We pray for an open adoption that includes you into our family. We envision you becoming a part of our life as your child grows. Thank you for opening your heart to our family and considering us in your journey. We pray for guidance, peace, and clarity in the decisions that lay ahead for you.
