Surprise surprise surprise

In telling our family story, this chapter is the second adoption. When we were first married we were told we might not be able to have children and became foster parents we eventually adopted our oldest daughter but also we're blessed with four children of our own. Several years ago feeling some burden for children from South America who were fleeing to our country by the thousands, we begin to question the possibility a foster care and adoption again. This past Christmas we were blessed to host a child from the Ukraine and knew immediately he was a great fit for our family.
So many people have been so supportive through this process and continue to ask how they can support our family as we move forward in the international adoption process. We are grateful to NightLight adoptions and Adoption Bridge for this opportunity.
As we get closer to finalizing all of the paperwork we feel very much like we did when beoming parents earlier in our lives; experiencing both excitement and a little bit of fear.
We want to thank all our friends and family who have encouraged and supported us so far and we just rely on God and the verse found in Matthew 19:26 where God promises, "With man this is impossible but With God all things are possible".
Thanks again we'll keep you posted

Ostwald Adventures

Once God tells you there are children out there that you need to go and get, it's impossible to ignore. Whatever obstacle, whatever barrier...it doesn't matter. A parent's heart is now driven to get that child. It doesn't matter what country or skin color . It doesn't even matter if you are already blessed with children or have had the heart break of loss. Someone else has your child and you have to bring them home. James 1:27 - the purest religion is to take care of the orphan. That is God's heart. To think that there would be no attempts to hinder that by His enemy is ignorant. For us, the obstacle is only finances. We wouldn't ask for it if it wasn't and it can be overwhelming if we get our eyes off of our Creator.
We are in the process of adopting multiple children from Bulgaria. We are excited at the possibility of returning to this sweet country. I was able to go as a missionary in 2013 & knew God had put it in my heart for a reason.
Thank you so much for sharing this opportunity with us. Please pray for us & our adventure! It's about to get crazy around here!:)

Hutton Family Adoption

A little about us. We have been married for six years and have no children. We have a stable and loving relationship. James and I had initially tried having biological children. But, after years of praying about it and getting no success, we realized that it might be God’s will that we do not have biological children. We than wanted to consider adoption. We know Christians who were adopted and we know families that have adopted. We also have relatives on both sides of our family, that have adopted children. Our knowledge about current adoption has mainly come from reading and training materials. We also see adoption as a wonderful plan from God, to take care of children in need. Children raised in Christian households, get taught about God and get the benefit of having a stable, loving family.

James and I are excited about adopting a toddler from China. We look forward to enjoying this new experience called parenting. Also, the opportunity to help a child enjoy life with a family is a wonderful thing.

So far, we have our home study completed. We will have our dossier completed and sent off to China soon after we receive our USCIS approval.

Thank you for your consideration, and for any donations. It is really appreciated!

Kevin and Ann Black

Kevin is a carpenter for a charity and Ann is a Speech Pathologist in the schools. We have been happily married for almost 10 years. We have diligently saved money to pursue our dreams. We have bought a nice home in the woods and developed our land to pursue our joys such as gardening and raising chickens. We also have trails that lead to quiet prayer spots. Everything is wonderful, yet we long to share our blessings with a child. Through domestic adoption we are able to make this hope a reality. We are planning on adopting a baby girl who will be born in Oklahoma in July of this year (2016). In July we will fly out to get our daughter from the hospital where she will be born. We will spend a couple weeks in Oklahoma for the legal work necessary to bring baby Black home. Any prayers and/or financial support would be greatly appreciated as our family will soon grow and we could use the support as we jump into all the changes.
Christ's Peace be with you.

It's never too late; we're adopting again

30 years ago we adopted our oldest daughter through the foster care system domestically. This past winter we decided to try the orphan hosting programs and fell in love with the young man who spent the Christmas holiday with us. We sre now seeking support to adopt internationally. It is never too late children are such a blessing.
