An Idle Adoption Journey

After a few months of being married, we decided to try for a baby. We quickly found that we each had medical issues that would make getting pregnant very difficult. After 2 1/2 years of tests, medications, procedures, and lots of heartache, we got pregnant through IVF. We now have Ella Grace who is almost 3 years old. We love being parents and couldn't imagine life without her. After her first birthday, we decided to try for baby #2. However, IVF didn't work this time. After 3 failed attempts and a miscarriage, we decided to stop trying. We spent time in prayer and God moved our hearts to adoption. We feel blessed to just be parents; however, we wanted Ella to be a big sister and our family just didn't feel complete. The unknown is scary, but we know the risk is so worth the reward that is to come. We are very excited about adoption and the journey it has taken on our lives. We can’t wait to see the baby that God brings to us!
