Gronberg Adoption Journey

Hello family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers! 

We are the Gronbergs- Nathan and Jenny (Mom and Dad), Riley (he's almost 10 and in 4th grade), Addison (she's 8 and in 2nd grade), and Chase (he's 4, and in pre k). We felt a calling to adopt about 3 years ago and started the process to adopt from Ethiopia. After 2 plus years waiting, we decided that the process is slowing down to a stop and decided to switch to the China Waiting Children's program this past summer. This was a hard choice, as we felt that we were abandoning our child in Africa, but we know that this is the path we need to take, and our adoption agency was encouraging the switch. So, here we are, excited and ready to welcome our daughter into our family! We have completed the "paper pregnancy" stage, and are now waiting for a referral of a child. We aren't exactly sure of how long this will take, but based on others experiences, it looks like we'll have her home with us by the summer of 2016. The Lord has blessed our family, and we want to in turn be a blessing, and we feel that God has chosen us to be her parents, so we feel honored. We also feel a bit stressed financially. That is why I've created this page. 

It is our deepest desire to bring our biological children along with us for our 2 week China trip to bring our daughter home. We feel that this would be the best way to start the bonding, and our kids would really benefit from being there when we bring a 4th child into our family. What an experience this would be for them! 

I am calling on friends, family, aquaitances, and complete strangers to give as you feel led. No amount is too little. And if you cannot give anything, please pray for us! The power of prayer is a mighty thing!!
